I want to put some music on an mp3 player I’m going to get. But I’m not sure of something: Is it just the new ones that you use download managers like iTunes to put music on there? I have some old music I want to put on an mp3 player, but am not sure which mp3 player to get, one with a screen (which generally use download managers) or without a screen. The music most likely doesn’t have a piracy protector on it, so it could possibly not let me transfer songs or get me into trouble. I also have some songs I ripped from a CD I once had, but have now lost (which is why I ripped the songs, in case I lost the CD, which happens to me quite a bit). The CD was from 2004-05, somewhere around there. Can am I going to be able to put those on there too?
Thanks in advance!

Under intellectual property
I am thinking of getting into intellectual property law, and I have heard that you need to be an engineer or have a science background if you want to work with certain patent or copywright issues. To what extent is this true? I don’t have a B.A. in a science-related field. Are there any areas of I.P. law that are still open to people without a science/engineering or computer science background? Hope someone can help, thanks.

I’m writing a novel, my first one, and I would like to use song lyrics from Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” for some of the chapter titles. Is that copyright infringement? The song, in part or entirety, appears nowhere within the text of the novel.

I have applied to law school for next year. I am very interested in Intellectual property law, specifically copyright and trademark law. From what I understand a large degree of technical experience is required for patent law. Would this be a significant hindrance to my future job prospects

Under copyright infringement
I’m so scared that whatever I do, especially on the internet, will infringe on someone’s copyrights. Can you imagine how many people, including ones who do not do it on purpose or do not know the rules of copyright infringement, will be arrested or fined because of this?
