Under trademark law
Would a website called “I hate Dell” be in violation of copyright laws?
The websites primary use would be to express the opinions of visitors and the owner throught their submissions (forum or otherwise).
BTW: I have nothing against dell, I am just using them as an example.

Under trademark law
I understand that common law can protect a trademark in a limited geographical area. The area would be the locality that the business operates in. However, if a trademark is used on an Internet website that was designed to solicit business anywhere, does common law extend to everywhere the website can be viewed?

Under copyright protection
I have compiled over the past 5 years a list of resources for a certain topic (can’t say what), that you can’t find in a traditional google search.
Let’s just say, for example, it is a list of the best websites to search for college football statistics from the past.
Should I register the list with the US Copyright Office? Is it considered a “database”? Or is there no protection at all offered through registration?
