Under copyright infringement
I am developing my own website and I am making a section for myspace layouts (I am making my own). If I take a picture of the layout so that people can see what it looks like, is it copyright infringement?

Ok, I want to just burn all my DVD’s to backup. I have a sony vaio with a prgram called Sonic and it will not burn DVD’s with copyright protection (which is every one I own)… Is there some other program I can dowload that will let me burn my movies even if they have that stuff…I also just have 4.7 GB disk so what happens if my moves are bigger than that, most are dual layer and around 7 to 8 GB…last questions….can I just save the movie to my hard drive?? thanks

I am trying to get the perfect cake made for somebody and I can’t seem to do anything!!! I wanted to use a Seed Of Chucky pic and a jigsaw pic and I can’t use either of them because of the copyright law. Does anyone know who I can go to, to recieve permission to use those photos?? I know its just a cake, but it needs to be perfect.

I am looking for an illustration for a book cover, among images of ancient Japanese art, how can I find if anyone owns the copyright to the image I select, and what do I need to do about it?

Under website copyright
I want to store all my DVDs, 752 discs worth on the space of my personal website. If I don’t have any links to these files and they are just stored at my domain for my own storage purposes can I legally do this? Is it violating any copyright laws?
Similarly, could I store the same thing on a website that hosts data (video) files that aren’t shared?

I’ve been watching a ton of anime and every once in awhile I find that the video had been removed due to copyright infringement or some other crap like that. Now I look around and there are DOZENS of the same episode subbed in a different language (spanish, italian, french, ect.) but yet only the english ones are having issues with copyright.
Do the makers of anime have something against americans watching anime or have I overlooked something?
