Is it a copyright infringement to use user-submited wallpapers from one website on your own website if I resized them myself? I need a good answer please. What if I link back to the original website?Thanks in advance!

    It’s worth checking to see what license the original user agreed to when they uploaded the images.
    If the original user put the wallpaper up on with an open license like the Creative Commons, you probably can use it as long as you credit it. The individual license will tell you.
    If the license was just to allow that website to use the image, then you can’t copy it because even if you link back to the website, its the author of the wallpaper you need to get permission from.
    Some sites will ask specifically for them to be given ownership of user submitted items. In these cases you’ve got to get permission from the website unless the websites terms of service allow you to borrow images (pretty rare)

    As long as you give credits somewhere, then you are not stealing their work. You don’t have to linkback, just mention their name somewhere.
